Thinking About Buying a Breakup Book? Here's what you need to know before you purchase! The truth about break up books.

Hello, my name is Tigress Luv... better known as Tigress Luv, The Breakup Guru, and I want to share with you a few secrets about breakup ebooks. I think it's high time the truth came out (plus I really, REALLY need to get this injustice off my chest)! But first allow me to tell you a little bit about me... Not soon after, I started my own breaking up grief support and recovery site called 'Tigress Den' at iVillage. Since then I have written extensively on breakups, on stopping breakups and winning back your ex, on commitment phobia, relationships in general, and on infidelity. Living through it all myself, plus having nearly 20 years experience working daily with people going through breakups, has helped me to educate even more valuable lessons and insights.

OK, now that I have established who I am, let's establish who I am NOT. I am not a salesperson, a professional networker, a con artist, a scam or a fraud, a killer sales page writer, or a marketing expert. My field of expertise lies within relationships and understanding people, their motivations, and their actions. I also know about emotional pain.

With that said, I have major grievances with something that has becoming increasingly commonplace online lately: Consumer fraud and false claims of expertise, false claims of authorship, plagiarism, and a 'make money fast' on ebook marketing mania.

If you go to Elance.com you will see dozens and dozens and dozens of people (I call them 'ebookpreneurs' [people who make money selling ebooks online]) looking for writers (doesn't matter if they are good writers, as long as they are cheap) to 'rewrite' other authors' ebooks for them, make them a sales letter for the ebook, and edit the book - in fact, approximately 17,000 requests are submitted each month to Elance for such services!

Below are some examples of such ads. Note that these 'ebookpreneurs' are simply looking for writers, they don't care about the accuracy or expertise of what these 'writers' are educating the reader about. They are simply looking for a 'sensational' ebook idea that they think will surely sell! The writer need not know a damned thing about the subject! In fact, there are writers out there who have written ebooks on everything from how to find a husband to how to cure acne. Sad. Are these writers really someone you would trust to tell you how to save your precious relationship, and help you with your breakup? Here are just 'some' (a small portion taken from only one day's posting of requests at Elance) examples of ebookpreneurs looking for ebook writers:

• (Simply my favorite, as this guy (gal?) comes right out and says it!) ....experienced Ghost Writer that will work closely with us as we take popular Adwords titles (books) and rework them to reflect a new entrant and some changes in this field....To comply with Copyright and avoid Plagiarism you will be required to take already fully finished Articles / Ebooks and rewrite into your own words ....You will be provided with the initial source materials and content but this will have to be re-worded and re-formatted. It is important to paraphrase and not to copy material directly.

What's all this have to do with breakup books you ask? Well, these 'ebookpreneurs' want to make money - off of you - and here's how they do it. They go to elance and hire someone to write them a book on breakups. The people they hire don't have to be experts, or even literate. Hell, they don't even have to know anything at all about the subject! They just have to buy someone else's book (or someone else's 'rewritten' and 'reworded' mess), and then rewrite it yet again. This goes on and on, so much so that eventually books are being reworded and copy-catted over and over again. The original meaning, concept, and content becoming so distorted and unreliable that the copy is totally useless! It doesn't matter if the book becomes too 'unpassable', after all, they don't care about you - they only care about getting your money - so they now hire another person at Elance to make them a 'killer sales page' designed by a professional sales letter writer who knows his stuff when it comes to luring the customer into making a purchase. This killer sales page will usually make claim that the author is a professional or expert in whatever field the book is about. It is hysterical, but true! You can now see how even those breakup book's sales pages are designed to hook and lure you in to purchasing their crap (and they are, truly, written in the style of a killer 'sales letter'! LOL). Another sad thing is that these people know nothing about real relationships; breakups; grief; or even insights into what, actually, motivates people and influences our emotions! I wrote one breakup 'diva' author and asked her (him?) where they learned about breakups and do you know how they answered me? "Um, you know, around..."!  I KID YOU NOT! Those were their exact words! LOL... I wrote another one who had plagiarized one of my own books and he answered that he had hired someone at Elance to write the book for him - and now that he knew that the writer had merely copied and poorly reworded my book it explained the fact to him why the project was such a mess that it took his editors over 100 hours to try and 'fix it'! OMG! Yet when I went on his sales page it said that the author was an expert and a licensed therapist, and that the book came with a free phone consultation session! This person was actually coming off as a pro and even offering 'professional' advice and consulting sessions! This 'pro' had also sold ebooks on wedding planning, running a day care, spying on spouses and loved ones, animal care, speaking, etc. Can you imagine reading a book like that and taking the advice offered in it? Tragic!

• (And, if you have the money after you get the ebook written, edited, and killer sales page 'grab-the-customer' ready [which these 'professional' scammers do!] then you can hire another person at elance to put it all together for you! All you need to know is how to send money through PayPal to your elance-found employees email addresses and you are well on your way to a finished 'copycat' money-making machine! ...as shown in this post>) I am looking to have a sales site created with an original “make money in real estate” theme. I have an e-book that I will be looking to distribute, so I also need a cover designed for that. The site itself will be uncomplicated, designed for use with Clickbank.com. It needs a main page, affiliate page, disclaimer popup, privacy policy, and a landing page that will be hit only after a purchase has been made. Nothing too complicated, extra consideration if you have a verifiable track record of writing effective ad copy.

The finalized project is an 'ebook' and sales site ready to MAKE YOU BUY ... and this ebook is usually placed at clickbank.com!

What eventually happens is the whole, entire Internet is going to become a place with unscrupulous merchants and web browsers who have been scammed so many times that they do not trust anyone's content enough to purchase online at all!

EWWWWWW!!!!!!! I worked hard and long to learn what I know, to gain the experience, compassion, and expertise that I have, and it infuriates me no end that someone would copy or reword my work - usually leaving out important data or getting the whole concept wrong because the writer hired to do this isn't literate, comprehensible, or even have English as a language. Yes, that's right, they first have to try and TRANSLATE the words into another language. Then these very same people are claiming to be experts and charging enormous fees for you to purchase this material, and to get HAD by them - them, the ebookpreneurs who run laughing to the bank, while your whole world ends up falling apart around you because you 'believed' in their advice!

In fact, these people have so little knowledge in the field they are writing about that they can actually do more harm than good...I mean, SEVERE damage to people's lives. I urge people to use strong caution when purchasing anything from a site that uses 'ClickBank.com' as their merchant processor. If you click on the purchase link, and go to a ClickBank 'Secure Order Form' checkout page, you should backtrack and do some more investigating on the product you are purchasing before you commit to the purchase.

I am so angry that these ripoff artists are stealing other's copy and getting rich on it that I am selling my ORIGINAL ebooks here for a fraction of the cost that the copy-catters and 'mis-worders' are. (Most are selling 'reworded' crap for $49 or more!).

All in all, if you don't want to be scammed but you sincerely want to recover from a breakup or get your ex back, trust someone who has been helping people do this for years!
